MASKS May be REQUIRED! Depending on orders from the County Health Department and Senior Center rules.
We should still be able to provide snacks and drinks.
Please, if you are not comfortable in attending due to your personal health condition or concern, please STAY HOME. SAFETY FIRST! We love you all, and we want everyone to stay healthy. If you are sick, been in contact with someone who recently got sick, thinking you may be sick, or just feel a little “off”, PLEASE STAY HOME!
For those who cannot attend, I will provide full minutes to everyone after the meeting.
Minutes of the November 5 meeting:
We had 28 present. Treasurer Carl D gave his report, details are on the minute book.
Silver attendance prize was won by Dave P. The membership prize of $55 was not won, so it goes to $60. Sorry Theo!
Christmas Party December 2:
While no catered in food was had, many of us overdid the donuts and everyone had fun with Bingo. There were 2 gold prizes this year. The grand finale was a gold coin showdown and tie between yours truly and Clay J. I was a little suspicious of Clay’s pocket piece Barber Half as the tie breaking flip, but all is well – I won!
2022 MEGA RED BOOKS: Again for this year, I will be taking orders. This is the really thick and heavy one with tons of pictures and references. The 2022 focus is on dollar coins from 1794 through the brass bucks. Cost is $27.00, and you can sign up at the meeting for them. I’ll bring a sample copy.
Upcoming area coin shows (no changes from last month):
The joint coin show with the Front Range Coin Club at the Outlets at Loveland (I-25 and US-34). January 15-16. date. We will need a strong volunteer presence. Most jobs are only an hour or two shifts, and physical ability is not required for show greeters and helpers. Sign-ups are open, and we can use you even if you have physical limitations.
Special request! We need a volunteer with a pickup or vehicle that can tow a big trailer on Friday morning, January 14 and also Sunday afternoon, January 16. This is to haul the FRCC’s trailer with all of the coin show tables in it from the Longmont area to the Loveland coin show site. Please call me at 951-640-5183 if you think you can help. The FRCC has volunteer labor for the setup and teardown, but help is always welcome for that as well.
Cheyenne Coin Club: February 25-26-27 at the Red Lion Inn, I-80 and US-85. Public hours Friday afternoon, and Saturday and Sunday.
ANA Mid-Winter in Colorado Springs Thursday, March 10 through Saturday March 12. Broadmoor Hotel, ANA has negotiated a good room rate.
Longmont (Boulder County Fairgrounds) Front Range Coin Show, Saturday-Sunday, March 12-13.
Our annual spring 2022-coin show in conjunction with the Rockhounds Gem and Mineral Expo at the Ranch Complex. Show dates are March 25-26-27, 2022. This date is 2 weeks after the Colorado Springs ANA Mid-winter and the Front Range Coin Club shows. Tables are available!
