Happy Independence Day to all!  As we always do, we do not have a meeting in July.  The next meeting will be on the first Friday in August, August 3, at our normal venue at Allnutt, 600 W. Drake in Fort Collins.  Doors open at 6:00 for snacks, fellowship and maybe a coin deal or two, business meeting starts at 6:30, followed by the auction.
Minutes from the June 1, 2018 meeting:
35 members in attendance, plus 1 YN guest.  We have 70 paid up and life members.  The attendance prize of one ounce of silver was won by Paul G, and the $20 membership prize was won by Dave S.
Treasurer Carl D. gave his report, cash details are in the minute book.  Carl reported that he did buy 10 ounces of silver for the prizes on the fearless silver price forecast by President Dan Y.  Well, maybe not so fearless.  But it did get bought.
President Dan Y. gave a nice talk about CAC and what it may do to the values and liquidity of your coins, how it works, and what it all means.  I think he claimed about a 95% acceptance rate for the coins he sends in, but I may not have heard that just right.  You decide!
VP Ken S. kept us all in order.  He also brings us good donuts.
Upcoming coin shows:
Saturday, July 14, one day only, Greeley Coin Club at The Moose Lodge, 3456 11th Ave, Evans, CO 80620.  Several of our members will have tables.
August 14-18, the American Numismatic Association Worlds Fair of Money, Philadelphia.  My personal comment:  I try to attend every year, and this one is in a cool location in Downtown Philadelphia, right across the street from the Reading Market (remember the scene when the bad guys were chasing the heroine through the market and food vendors?  That’s the Reading Market).  Plenty of coins, auctions, educational activities to see!
Saturday, December 1:  Our December show will be the normal one-day affair at the Lincoln Center in Fort Collins.  I hear that show chairman Jim O. will be dressed as Santa Claus and handing out double eagles to all the good boys and girls.  Or was it candy coins?
By, John B., Secretary
PS:  Be safe on your party reveling on July 4!
