March is coming in like a lion, so you know what that means – COINS!
The next Fort Collins Coin Club meeting will be the first Friday in March, the 2nd, at or normal venue, the Allnutt Funeral Home meeting room. Door open at 6:00 pm for snacks, refreshments, coin talk and stories, followed by the regular meeting and auction.
Minutes from February 2:
We had 37 people in attendance, 3 guests who found us online (thanks to Aron L for the website refresh!), and 2 new members. Welcome aboard to Fay H and Scott T! Here’s a ship related to coins and treasure for you!
The ounce of silver attendance prize was won by Don P, and Bill M., you missed out on the $20 membership prize, so it goes to up $25 this month.
Treasurer Carl D. was absent, so no formal report until next month.
Pres. Dan Y reminded everyone that the annual $5 dues are now due, except for lifetime members.
Dan Y. also gave an interesting and informative talk on the evolution of coin grading. I hear he is now working as the head grader at WTHIT grading company. I understand that WTHIT stands for “What the Heck is This?
Upcoming are coin shows:
