Meeting notice:The February meeting is on the first Friday in February, February 1,  at our NEW venue at the Fort Collins Senior Center, 1200 Raintree DR in Fort Collins.  Doors open at 6:00 for snacks, fellowship and tall tales or a coin deal, business and educational meeting starts at 6:30, followed by the auction (lot listing attached).  The meeting ends at 9:00 pm


Upcoming area coin shows:

Saturday and Sunday, February 16-17, Cheyenne Coin Club at the Red Lion (Formerly the Radisson) (I-80 and US-85).

Saturday and Sunday, March 9-10, Front Range Coin Club at the Boulder County Fairgrounds in Longmont.

Friday afternoon, March 22 through Sunday, March 24, our annual Spring 3-day show at the Ranch at the Larimer County Fairgrounds.

Our show is the Numismatist as a “regional event” and also on the ANA online event schedule.  It is also is listed in the Coin Dealer Newsletter and their related Coin Price Guide


Minutes from the January 4 meeting:

36 members in attendance.  Dues are now due, $5 per year. 

The attendance prize of one ounce of silver was won by Dave J.  The $20 membership prize was won by Paul E.

Treasurer Carl D. gave his report, cash details are in the minute book.  Carl also gave a breakdown on the spending for the Christmas Party and the December show financial results. 

President Dan Y. reported on the meeting venue switch from the VFW to the Senior Center.  In summary, we could not get the price and commitment that we thought we had agreed to with the VFW, forcing us back to the second choice of the Senior Center.  Everyone seemed to be pleased with the Senior Center facility.

I gave a brief talk on the new “American Innovation” dollar coin series.
