The next coin club meeting is at 6:00 pm on June 7 at the Fort Collins Senior Center, 1200 Raintree DR, Fort Collins. This is very close to our old location – take Drake to Shields, go north, and then West on Raintree. The doors open at 6:00 for coin talk, refreshments and donuts, business meeting at 6:30, followed by the auction.
Minutes of the 5/3/19 meeting:
43 Members in attendance, with 3 new members joining: Bradyn R., a YN, Mark W. and Brian B. – welcome aboard!
Treasurer Carl D. reported the cash position, details are in the minute book.
Him O. won the 1 ounce of silver prize. The $25 membership prize was not won – sorry Bob L!
Please note:
No meeting in July, but I still think Ken S. should invite us over for steaks.
The November meeting will be on November 8, NOT November 1.
The December meeting and Christmas Party will be on Wednesday, December 4.
President Dan Y. announced that the club elections will be at the June meeting. Motion made by Jim O. and seconded to make a vote to renew all of the current officers for another year term: President Dan Y., VP Ken S., Treasurer Carl D. and Secretary John B. Motion passed unanimously.
President Dan Y. brought the ANA “Coins in the Classroom” kit to the meeting and gave an overview of the program. One of our members, and I apologize for forgetting who, is a teacher that look at this in more detail for potential use.
Treasurer Carl D. noted that our 60th anniversary will be in 18 months. Discussion held about a potential club medal similar to the Glendale Coin Club’s. Committee of Brian D., Dave S and Dan Y.


Discussion also about the “The Great American Coin Hunt”. Brian D. reported finding a 1919-S Lincoln cent in change.
Dan C. brought a very cool collection of railroad bonds and it was enjoyed by many, including myself.
