We should still be able to provide snacks and drinks.
Please, if you are not comfortable in attending due to your personal health condition or concern, please STAY HOME. SAFETY FIRST! We love you all, and we want everyone to stay healthy. If you are sick, been in contact with someone who recently got sick, thinking you may be sick, or just feel a little “off”, PLEASE STAY HOME!
For those who cannot attend, I will provide full minutes to everyone after the meeting.
Minutes of the February 4 meeting:
We had 24 present. One new member – welcome to Kurt W!
Treasurer Carl D gave his report, details are on the minute book.
Silver attendance prize was won by Terry H. The membership prize of $65 was not won, so it goes to $70! Sorry Jim W! It’s now really cold up in the Husker state!
Club officers’ terms run until June. Both President Dan Y. and your Secretary, John B., want to step down. Both of us will remain active in the club and we will be around to advise our replacements if needed. So, we want to really make it a point for members to consider stepping up to these positions! Please contact us with questions if you are interested.
The January joint coin show was a success – for the most part. Financially, our club did make money and I personally met some new people and told them about our coin club. Many thanks to volunteers, particularly Wilson L-D! We did receive word after some teeth gnashing that our deposit was returned in full. The many problems with the venue management dictate that we will not use the January venue again.
We need volunteers to work the reception table at our March 25-26-27 Larimer County Fairgrounds coin show! Please see Dan Y. or Jim O. for details. Public hours are Friday, 3-7, Saturday, 9-5 and Sunday 9-3. All of the tables are sold out. 1,000 postcards have been mailed to ANA members in northern Colorado and close-by zip codes in Wyoming and Nebraska. This is a new advertising program for us, and, if you got one in the mail, bring in your original card for the free silver coin drawings (1 in 20 wins)! Original cards only, so no copies or excuses like the dog ate your homework are allowed!
Upcoming area coin shows:
The previously mentioned Cheyenne Coin Club show in February has been cancelled.
ANA Mid-Winter in Colorado Springs Thursday, March 10 through Saturday March 12. Broadmoor Hotel.
Longmont (Boulder County Fairgrounds) Front Range Coin Show, Saturday-Sunday, March 12-13. Tables are available at a very low cost.
